Authors
An author page contains information about the authors of blog articles featured on spectrum websites. Authors are linked to a blog article via the Hygraph Blog model in Hygraph. They are then linked to the blog article on the website in two places:
- At the top of blog underneath the title
- At the bottom of the Blog, underneath the main body of text.
From there, website users can navigate to the Author page and view credentials and information about the author, as well as any other featured blogs by the author.
Optionally, authors can also appear in an Authors section on a Page (a grid or slider of chosen authors). Author pages are indexed in Algolia as Content.

Tenant
The tenant the author is associated with. Only one tenant can be selected, in the case where an author is featured on multiple tenants, entries must be created for each tenant. You can use the Duplicate entry button for this purpose, as changing the value of the Tenant field will move the Author from one tenant to another.

Storefront
The storefronts the author is associated with. You can select multiple storefronts within a tenant, be aware of the Localizations each storefront uses. This author only appears on the webshops you select. If you leave a storefront unselected, it will not show there.
URL Path
Autogenerated field based on the URL identifier in the SEO component and, if applicable, the relation with parent or child entities.

Name
- Displays as the title of the author page on the website.
- Displays anywhere where the author is referenced, like on blogs linked to the author
Job Title / Headline
An optional localized field that is displayed underneath the Name field.
Enable auto links
This field does not currently do anything. Leave as is.
Introduction
Displayed on the author page, underneath the Name and Job Title fields. A localized rich text field intended to introduce the Author, displayed below the Name and Job Title fields, and above the Socials and the Description.
Picture
The Picture field shows an Image, which will be displayed on the Author’s page. As well as any of the blogs that the author relates to. Link an existing asset or upload an image of the author.
Blog Posts
All blogs Posts belonging / written by this author. On the author page on the website, posts are listed newest first (createdAt).
Link the author to any existing blogs, or create new blogs that were made by this author. Selecting Add existing Blog will open a searchable pop-up where a selection can be made of existing blogs.
⚠️ Important, when selecting new blogs to add to an Author, filter them first by the correct tenant and/or storefront (tt should be the same as the one that is configured on the author), so you do not mistakenly link entries from other tenants/storefronts.
Biography / Description
The main body of text on the Author page. A localized rich text field that supports images and HTML content.
The field is Description (description). On the shop the heading is “About the Expert”.
Social Links
Add icons that link to social media pages of the author. A localized field in which several social links can be added to a list.
The shop turns each URL into an icon via the host name. Valid URLs use http, https, mailto, or tel. Invalid URLs are rejected in Hygraph.
Blog
On the Blog model in Hygraph you can link existing Authors or create one. This is the same relationship, as linking the blogs via the Author model.

Blog Type Authors
There exists a specific Blog type for displaying Authors. Within the Blog Type model, in the Template field, select Author. This template will by default display all Authors configured in the tenant and storefront.
That type lists every author for the current tenant and storefront as a paginated grid (12 per page). If it exists, author-page breadcrumbs use it.
