Pages

Use a Page for a landing page built from sections. Note that each storefront's homepage is also a "Page".

For a simple information page with a fixed layout, use a Content Page instead. Product pages are a different model.

How to configure

In Hygraph, open Content in the left menu, then Page. Filter by tenant and storefront. Select an entry to edit it, or click + Add entry. To copy a page, open it and click the copy icon at the top left, above the field list.

On an open page, the fields are listed in the left pane. Click one to jump to it. The sections that can be configured on a Page are all visible in the "Sections" field. If you feel that you want to configure something and you don't know how, then try and visit other Pages for example, even from other storefronts, for inspiration. Tenant

Select the tenant. The page is served only for that tenant.

Select every storefront that should show the page. A shop that is left out will not serve it.

Title

The name of the page in Hygraph. It is the label on the shop sitemap and in site search. It is not the heading on the page. On a page inside a protected area it is also the breadcrumb.

URL path

Read-only. After you publish, it is filled from URL Identifier in SEO. For a Page that value is the slug. Pages do not inherit a parent path.

A page whose URL path is home is the shop homepage. Customers open it at /, not at /home.

See SEO. On the "Page" model:

  • No index, No follow, and Exclude from search stay off unless you want to build a page on production, have it Published for a while, but not have it indexed yet.In that case set NoIndex and NoFollow to true, and when the page is ready to be shown to the public, set to false again.

Hides the global message bars on this page. A bar that lists this page still shows. The bar sits under the header. See Messagebar.

Links the message bar that lists this page. That bar shows here together with any global bar. Hide messagebar hides the global bars and leaves this one. See Messagebar.

Sections

The content of the page. Use + Add component. Once a section exists, the label is + Add another component. A searchable list opens. Add as many sections as you need. Order in Hygraph is the order on the shop.

Every section has Section Settings: hide on mobile or desktop, background color or image, section id, spacing classes, and hide for locales. Those settings are documented in Sections, Components & Elements.

A Newsletter Signup section also hides the newsletter band in the footer.

Uses a reduced header and footer: no USP bar, mega menu, or header icons, and no footer menu, newsletter, or social links.

If this page also has a Custom header, that header is used instead. The reduced footer still applies.

Custom header

Optional. Replaces the shop header on this page.

  • Logo — optional. If empty, the shop logo is used.
  • Items — links and buttons, in place of the normal menu.
  • Hide menu icons — hides login, cart, and info for that locale.
  • Hide header — hides the header completely for that locale. The shop header is not shown instead.

Optional. Hides parts of the normal footer. It does not replace the footer with a new one.

Protected area

Optional. Adds the page to that area’s sidebar, in the order of the pages on the area. Title is the sidebar label and the breadcrumb.

The area opens it at /{area}/{url path}. Who can open that address is set on the protected area. The page’s own URL stays public. The page is left out of the sitemap.

Styles

Leave this empty unless a developer asked you to change it.

Publishing

Publish images and other assets on the page before the page. See Page revalidation.

The custom header and custom footer are part of this page, so they update with it. The shop menu and the shared header and footer do not. Message bars update on their own. See Messagebar.
